Dottie Holland Chace started Peanut Butter Nursery School in 1976 in her home on Parsons Drive in Westvale. Two years later, as her program grew, she relocated to St. Cecilia’s School in Solvay.

In the fall of 1981, Mary Ann Halsey began teaching with Mrs. Chace at PBNS. Maureen Straub began teaching at PBNS part time in 1983. In the fall of 1986, St. Cecilia’s School closed and PBNS moved to its present location at Robinson Memorial Church. In 1994, Mrs. Chace retired and Mrs. Halsey and Mrs. Straub became the new Directors of Peanut Butter Nursery School.

In 2011, Mrs. Halsey and Mrs. Straub retired, and  Karen Delano and Jennifer Gilmartin became the new owners/directors.
